Recipe: Paratha Dough

Paratha Dough Ingredients: 2 cups flour Method: After 30 minutes, make equal, medium sized balls of the dough. Sprinkle flour lightly onto your working surface and roll the ball into large thin roti. Brush some oil all over and sprinkle some flour evenly over the top. Begin to fold from the edges into pleats like a fan and then roll tightly into a circle. Press the loose end at the center downwards. Prepare all the balls according to this method and keep aside covered to rest for 12 to 15 minutes. Take one pleated ball and dust some flour on both sides. Roll into a roti size. Fry in ghee till browned on both sides. Optional: make filling of your choice, once rolled out, egg with egg wash and spread filling onto one paratha. Close using another paratha. |
