Omuhle Gela is thrilled to be part of the #KrushGoodness Krew and to make a difference in the lives of children in need.
“Growing up in the township I witnessed the struggle of young children needing something as ‘simple’ as school shoes and being afraid to attend school because of being bullied. These are the things a lot of us take for granted and I’m excited that Clover Krush is making a difference in the lives of young children through this project. I couldn’t be more honored to be a part of it! It’s extremely heartwarming helping a young learner gain their confidence back and proudly go to school like any normal child,”
says Gela.
The shoe partner for the project is Smart Steps by Novita Shoes. In addition to being Proudly South African, Smart Steps are strong, reliable, tough and comfortable – the ideal shoe for young learners.
According to Stats SA, approximately 70% of learners walk to school every day, many of whom walk barefoot or with damaged shoes. The #KrushGoodness project will make a sustainable difference in the lives of a further 20 000 learners across South Africa, giving them the confidence to conquer the world - one step at a time.
