Fleet Safety Awards 2024 stellar line-up
Entries into the 2024 Fleet Safety Awards closed last week and, for the third year in a row, the number of entrants saw a significant increase.
Now that entries have closed, the pressure is on the judges to complete their scoring over the final two weeks. It is now also time for the MasterDrive team to ensure it is the best Awards ceremony yet.
The theme of the Awards this year is ‘Fleet Forward’ which will be an illustration of collaboration and co-operation for business success.
The CEO of MasterDrive, Eugene Herbert, expands:
“During the keynote address the future of fleet safety will be covered. Looking at what the future holds for fleet safety is an integral part of the Awards as continual improvement is how an organisation illustrates itself as a paragon of fleet safety."
“Another topic to be discussed and which also looks toward the future, is an analysis of the electric vehicle (EV) industry. With opinion on the future of EV technology seemingly divided in South Africa, this topic provides a perspective from the point of view of a professional in the industry.”
Along with the focus on the future, current topics of interest within the automotive industry will also be brough to the stage.
“This will include a representative from DHL discussing their success in transporting Cape Vultures with no loss of life. Additionally, the winner of last year’s Best Organisation category will share their experience since securing the title."
“The headline partners will then share the stage when they discuss overcoming challenges in fleet management. Representatives from Castrol, FNB, Santam and Webfleet will enlighten the audience with their valuable perspectives on this important subject. It promises to be a highlight of the event.”
The event will move on to share a word from a representative on the judge’s panel.
“It will then conclude with the main event of the day: the awarding of the titles to the winners in each category. We have no doubt that the quality of the entries will be just as high as it was in previous years, and we look forward to the reveal of the top finalists."
