Three Stellantis brands in COTY finals
Three of the 21 finalists announced for the South African Car of the Year come from the Stellantis stable.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee L, Opel Mokka, and Alfa Romeo Tonale have been named amongst the finest new cars launched in 2022 and will compete for overall honours as the country’s best car.

The luxurious Jeep Grand Cherokee L features seven seats of consummate luxury and capability. Powered by the 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 engine and brimming with technology. Of course, it features one of the most advanced four-wheel drive systems and moves the needle in the premium 4x4 market.
Alfa Romeo’s recently launched Tonale is the company’s first hybrid model and is a taste of the advanced electrification capabilities in the group. Unmistakable Italian design, state-of-the-art technology, software and electrification systems, enhance the brand’s DNA of noble Italian sportsmanship, marking a radical evolution for Alfa Romeo.
The new Opel Mokka is anything but normal. The striking new car boasts an emotional design, signaling the new design direction of the brand. The new Opel Mokka boasts the iconic design inspired by the GTX Xperimental Concept Car and is one of the first Opel models to feature the new Vizor design. The Mokka offers drivers and passengers alike a unique experience, providing loads of technological innovation for the driver.
