South African Native electronic music artist, SuffoCate from Ivory Park – A township near Tembisa. In the age of the “Bedroom Producer”, SuffoCate is another example of how you don’t need advanced, high-end music equipment to produce music of international quality and flavor. SuffoCate produced Come Again with his brother's hand-me-down’ laptop, a low-end music program, and production software with the help of YouTube to learn how to produce and bring to life, the sounds that dance in his head.
Next to his evidential natural talent, his ability to create music that embodies an international sound and standard, with minimal, low-quality, and outdated equipment is what makes this artist special and leaves you in awe.
Paradise Africa Distribution PTY Ltd. Label Manager - Smanga Memela, discovered SuffoCate as he was making waves in the local industry and gaining recognition from local South African artists and producers. His track with Leko M is what caught Smanga’s attention.
