A Dunkin’ Good Mother’s Day Treat
With Mother’s Day a few days away, Dunkin’ Donuts wanted to treat the special moms in our lives. So they asked their fans on social media to share a positive story about a mom that deserves a special treat. Yesterday they hosted the winners at a High Tea and invited some lucky extras to join them on the day. I was excited to be invited as one of those extras and was pleasantly surprised and delighted by the effort that they had made to treat us.
It was a simple get together just to show some appreciation for the mommies. They had cordoned off a section of the first Dunkin Donuts launched in Cape Town, at N1 City and had laid a pretty spread with flowers, Mom themed donuts on 3 tired stands, sandwiches and of course Dunkin coffees or teas.
Treats included – back, neck and shoulder and foot massages where I had the most glorious quickie massage from Nomse and her magic fingers on one of the massage chairs you can lean over. Entertainment by comedian Shimmy Isaacs had us laughing at her and ourselves. And singer Sasha-Lee Davids who is the joint winner of the 2009 Idols Competition gave an impressive vocal finale.
