A race like no other, Emerald Speed Fest at Emerald Resort and Casino!
Emerald Speed Fest, the family orientated motorsport and motoring lifestyle event takes place in less than a month at the Emerald Resort and Casino in Vanderbijlpark.
Experience the thrill and excitement of the MSA endorsed ESF event as high-performance cars, modern road-cars, historic race cars and supercars compete against time along a 1.6km custom-made racetrack at the Emerald Resort and Casino in Vanderbijlpark, from 28 February to 1 March 2020. Join the adrenaline rush over 3 action-packed days at the latest motorsport and motoring lifestyle event.
A thrilling feature is the pit area, open to the public across all three days, allowing for visitor interaction to hear the powerful engines and experience the speed of race cars competing on the racetrack. Added to this, classic cars that will be on display, as well as, the retail area to shop the latest vehicles from various car dealerships. What more can a motorsport fanatic ask for?
Excitement is building around the on-track battle between motoring manufacturing teams such as Mercedes AMG, Toyota Gazoo, FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles), Roush and Shelby. The participating OEM teams will be present at the event to support their drivers competing for the fastest time on the 1-mile asphalt strip and the winner ultimately crowned the Master of the Mile.
Emerald Speed Fest offers competitors a challenging high-speed run competing in categories, for a variety of prizes totaling up to half a million rand in value. To name a few participants in the Master of the Mile category, racing his Nissan R35 GT-R is Franco Scribante, leader of the 2019 super car championship; competing in motorsport for more than 15 years - James Forbes in his ADR MCE3 sports racing car, as well as, the highly respected, Franco Di Matteo racing his Jaguar XKRR. Other categories include, road performance and the historic showdown featuring Pierre Bester in his Mercedes A45, Piet Potgieter racing the Alfa Romeo Guilia 2017, and Ian Kilburn with his Datsun GX Coupe 1072, among many other competitors.
Visitors can also expect various family focused features and attractions including, live music entertainment, a beer garden and access to the casino for the adults. Not forgetting the kids who will be able to enjoy the aquadome, animal kingdom, wall climbing and adventure golf Emerald Resort has to offer. Camping tickets are now available which include leisure vouchers and weekend passes as part of the package for you to experience the event.
