An overview of the standard safety features in every Volvo vehicle
Since Volvo's founding in 1927, the brand has been committed to building safe, reliable vehicles capable of withstanding Sweden’s harsh winters. Over the years, this commitment has made Volvo synonymous with safety, pioneering innovations like the three-point seatbelt in 1959.
Today, safety is at the core of every Volvo model. Common standard features include Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Intervention (BLIS), Cross Traffic Alert, and post-impact braking. In addition, Volvo vehicles come equipped with passive safety features like dual-stage airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts, WHIPS, and inflatable curtain airbags. Each model offers a range of unique enhancements, further elevating Volvo’s safety leadership.

The all-electric EX30 is Volvo’s smallest SUV, combining advanced driver assistance systems with robust passive safety features.
