Brahman Hills - Sunday lunch at The Stables Restaurant
“We’re happy to announce that we’re launching a Sunday carvery/buffet lunch at the Stables Restaurant”, says Sollie Bester, Brahman Hills General Manager, “and now you can look forward to spectacular food coupled with spectacular views for a spectacular Sunday at Brahman Hills.”
Brahman Hills, situated in the Blue Crane Nature Reserve in the heart of the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands with its range of 4-star accommodation and superb restaurants is a destination of choice for tourists and locals.
The Stables Restaurant, contained within the Agility Hub, a purpose-built venue for conferences and private functions, has a rustic Midlands farm look and feel - it was modelled on the original stables of the farm. The main seating area opens out onto an expansive lawn with a large fire pit with a horse chestnut tree providing a shady canopy, and there are views to-die-for.
Launching at The Stables Restaurant on Sunday 11 August 2019 and every Sunday thereafter, a carvery buffet - always with chicken and one red meat, accompanied with sauces – at only R295 per adult - and for every adult booked, kids under 12 years of age eat free! Kids under 12 not accompanied by an adult booking at R145. Included is a free arrival drink (one per person).
The Sunday lunch buffet table will be ladened with a mouthwatering selection of hot and cold dishes and desserts:
o In the cold selection are assorted garden greens with condiments and dressings; Bavarian potato salad; BBQ chicken and pineapple salad; smoked trout with traditional condiments and butternut and feta salad with peppadew dressing among many others; also soup of the day with artisan bakers’ breads with compound butters.
o And a delicious hot selection comprising rare roast grass-fed beef, roast free-range organic chicken, lamb bredie, grilled chicken with peri-peri sauce, seasonal sautéed vegetables, cream spinach, seared line fish with lemon beurre blanc and vegetable lasagne accompanied with traditional accompaniments.
o The perfect way to end the meal is with dessert of course, and the malva pudding with crème anglaise, the divine dark chocolate mousse, baked cheese cake, lemon meringue, pecan nut pie and seasonal fruit salad will definitely delight! And for those with the not so sweet tooth, there is a selection of award-winning cheeses, accompanied with preserves and crackers.
More than enough to satisfy even the most discerning and the most demanding of appetites! And one less meal to worry about - escape for the day and enjoy a stress-free Sunday buffet-style lunch, every Sunday at The Stables Restaurant at Brahman Hills.
