DRIVEN SAYS FAREWELL TO LERATO MATEBESE
Lerato Matebese, the editor, Driven magazine, will leave his current position to pursue a unique opportunity within the automotive journalism sphere at the end of August 2020.
Matebese joined TCB Media in October 2018 as editor of Driven magazine, bringing with him a wealth of media automotive experience. As a respected member of the motoring journalism industry, he has been instrumental in growing Driven magazine, both in terms of reach and status.
“The past almost two years at the helm of such a premium motoring title as Driven, has been a learning curve that brought with it many challenges, but also great opportunities. With an ever-changing automotive landscape, being dynamic is very key in this space in order to survive, and it is a skill I will take and implement with me in my next chapter,” says Matebese.
“I will miss my entire team at Driven, who have been nothing but a pleasure to work with and I would like to take this opportunity to wish the entire TCB Media family all of the very best in the future,” concluded Matebese.
“Having such a respected journalist as Lerato Matebese at the helm of our premium motoring title, was a proud feather in TCB Media’s cap,” says Wilhelm Loots, the company’s CEO, “and our best wishes accompany Lerato as he embraces a new chapter in his career. We look forward to a continued excellent relationship with Lerato, and to join him at many more new car launches in the future.”
Matebese will be joining TopGear SA, as Publishing Editor from 1 September 2020, and looks forward to the new challenge and to contribute towards the prosperity of the industry in general and automotive journalism in particular.
