What better way to celebrate Heritage Day 2017 than with a truly homegrown and proudly South African destination - moyo. A location that is a celebration of and commitment to the beauty of Africa, a place where the true meaning of being African is celebrated every single day.
On Sunday 24 September 2017 moyo are offering their special guests a wide array of amazing entertainment, allowing guests to celebrate the true meaning of their African Heritage.
Let’s start off in the Mother City, Cape Town:
In Blouberg guests will be entertained with live music by Muziki, while they are invited to indulge in an African meat feast with a choice of a 300gr rump or sirloin, including African spinach, nhopi dovi and a side of your choice all for just R139. Alternatively, guests can enjoy a dish off the mouth watering a la carte menu and moyo have not forgotten the little ones with fun activities lined up to keep them busy. Festivities to run from 12:00 – 16:00
Celebrate in the garden at moyo Kirstenbosch with live entertainment by Pula – Percussion Drummers, Soulful Blues trio, rise of the mBokodo – African dancers and jazz band featuring Nina on vocals. Guests are invited to enjoy an African buffet feast and welcome drink for R275 per adult, R135 per child aged between 6 and 11 years and mahala for kids 5 years and younger. The fee Includes gate entry into the garden and celebrations begin at 12:00 and end at 16:00pm.
The City of Gold, Johannesburg:
Melrose Arch, situated in the heart of Johannesburg, will have guests in awe as moyo Melrose Arch celebrates Heritage day in modern African style. Live entertainment by the Domingo band and the Izinduko cultural dancers, followed by Soul Therapy Sundays featuring Upper Sandton Beats Society in the Rock room.
Guests are invited to celebrate in their own unique African way, as they create their own Shisa Nyama feast and are greeted with a complimentary welcome drink. Celebrations begin at 12:00 and end at 16:00.
At moyo zoo lake, a tranquil retreat from the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg, invites guests to enjoy Heritage Day celebration with live entertainment from Six Mabone. Guests can experience an abundant African buffet feast alongside a welcome drink at R255 per adult, R185 per pensioner, R125 per child aged between 6 and 11 years and mahala for kids 5 years and younger. Festivities run from 12:00 – 16:00pm
Durban:
At moyo uShaka Marine World (main restaurant only) guests will be treated to live entertainment by the Amawundlu dancers, Uzoka band and Signature group live. Celebrate with an abundant African buffet feast and welcome drink at R225 per adult, R115 per child aged between 6 and 11 years and of course mahala for kids 5 years and younger. Festivities will be on offer from 12:00- 16:00pm.
