Fortuner Challenge: Unleashing the Power of Fortuner GR-S
One of South Africa’s bestselling SUVs of all time is set to add a performance-orientated variant to its model line-up.
Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) has announced that an all-new Fortuner GR-S model will be launched in the first quarter of 2025.
Building up on the strong credentials that made Fortuner a household name, the new GR-S version will come with more power and style to complement its exceptional off-road capabilities and versatility. TSAM believes that the new offering will take the legendary Fortuner to new heights.
Enhanced with sport-inspired features and aesthetics, an aggressive stance as well as performance focused upgrades, the Fortuner GR-S is designed to be bold and conquer any terrain.
The local introduction of the Fortuner GR-S is also set to coincide with the ninth edition of the long running Fortuner Challenge – a contest that sees participants going through a number of grueling physical and mental challenges in order to win a brand-new Toyota Fortuner.
In the contest, four participants – representing four media partners of the Fortuner Challenge – are paired with a local sporting hero to participate in a series of 4x4 obstacles, speed and endurance tests as well as brainteasers.
The event is preceded by the “Back your Hero” campaign where the public can win awesome prizes from the Fortuner Challenge partners – including Quartz Engine Oil, Garmin, Salomon and Thule.
