Jetour Autocity Alberton Urges others in the Community to join them in Future Charity Drives
As a leading global SUV brand, Jetour actively engages in corporate social responsibility initiatives that emphasise environmental conservation and community development. Locally, the team at Jetour AutoCity Alberton takes this pledge to heart, with their recent initiative highlighting how they are making a meaningful contribution.
The dealership visited Umkhathizwe and Nageng primary schools on Thursday, 13 February, to make a tangible difference in the lives of school children.
Sales Manager, Pieter Els, shared that their latest initiative stemmed from an idea by sales executive Namasonto Ntsibande. Together with well-known influencer Mbali Skosana, they launched a campaign to donate school shoes and socks to children in need at these two primary schools in Kathorus. Additional school shoes, socks and clothing have been collected and will be distributed to other schools in the area over the next few weeks.
“The reason behind this initiative is to show the community that we care and to support underprivileged children who are struggling with everyday necessities such as uniforms at school. As part of the ‘AutoCity Care’ programme, Jetour Alberton was eager to jump on the idea and make a difference. This is our way of giving back to the community. It’s our way of saying thank you for the support,”
says Els.
AutoCity Cares is a non-profit organisation established by the AutoCity Group to address the gaps in the surrounding communities. The company’s mission goes beyond selling cars; it focuses on building stronger communities and supporting important causes.
Through acts of kindness such as this, Jetour AutoCity Alberton is strengthening its connection with the community, demonstrating that businesses play a crucial role in uplifting those in need.
“Hopefully, this initiative will inspire more people to get on board. We will continue doing this regularly, as there are many people who are struggling with daily needs. This is only the beginning of an amazing journey in giving back,”
Els says, adding that their next campaign will focus on providing sanitary towels to young women at these and other schools in the community.
Jetour AutoCity Alberton urges community members and businesses to join them in future charity drives. Those interested in making a difference can call Maxie Kruger on 067 530 4879, Nomasonto Ntsibande on 64 846 7199 or Dumisani Mashinini on 060 680 5365.
