Powerful partners join forces for Fleet Safety Awards
MasterDrive is proud to host the third annual Fleet Safety Awards celebrating excellence and innovation in and commitment to road safety across all industries.
It recognises organisations and individuals demonstrating outstanding commitment to making our roads safer. It is a one-of-its-kind event in Africa that places emphasis on those that espouse the values of ‘road safety.’
The CEO of MasterDrive, Eugene Herbert, says the headline partners of the Fleet Safety Awards play an essential role in making the Awards an effective and powerful platform to promote road safety.
“It is our pleasure to welcome Santam Heavy Haulage and Castrol back for their second year as headline partners."
“The continued support of Santam Heavy Haulage and Castrol is a testimony to the power of the Awards to effect change. It is also an illustration of the importance of organisations from different industries uniting to give the promotion of road safety the highest priority irrespective of individual objectives,”
says Herbert.
Thuli Manyoha, Executive Head of Mobility Cluster at Santam, says the Heavy Haulage division is deeply committed to road safety and promoting responsible driving practices.
“The Fleet Safety Awards align perfectly with our values and provide an excellent platform to recognise and celebrate the achievements of drivers and fleets that prioritise road safety."
“By joining these prestigious Awards, we can more effectively further our mission to reduce accidents and promote safer driving habits in South Africa. The growth of the Awards over the last three years is a testament to its impact. This year we anticipate even more diverse and inspiring stories of innovation, excellence and best practices in road safety,”
says Manyoha.
The Marketing Director for Castrol Africa, Jennifer Heyes, says the Fleet Safety Awards evolved from a niche event to a cornerstone of industry recognition in road safety.
“Initially, it was a platform for a select few to showcase their fleet safety efforts. It has since transformed into a significant industry benchmark celebrating not only excellence but setting new standards for safety practices."
“Additionally, the partnership aligns perfectly with Castrol's values of safety, innovation, and community engagement. By working together, we can make significant strides in improving road safety and saving lives. We encourage other organisations to join this important endeavour and further promote innovations in road safety,”
says Heyes.
MasterDrive looks forward to the upcoming Awards.
“Entries have been submitted, judging completed, and results tallied. All that remains is to award the 2024 winners,”
says Herbert.
