Project Runway Winner to Drive Off in a Lexus CT 200h
What does Project Runway have in common with Lexus?
Craftsmanship, innovation and many levels of detail with one vision of unity. There’s a common link between bespoke fashion design and creativity with unique craftsmanship which Lexus masters very well.
As a proud partner of the South African instalment of Mzansi Magic and Ndalo Pictures’ Project Runway, Lexus is proud to announce its partnership with Project Runway as the exclusive luxury auto marketing partner.
Project Runway is a premier fashion competition which focuses on making clothes and real stars from top-notch fashion talent. Twelve passionate, aspiring fashion designers will live together for a six-week period. They will compete in weekly challenges that stretch their creativity, resilience, design and practical skills. The contestants will be judged by a panel of top fashion personalities who will decide who stays in the competition and who is out until only three remain... the three finalists. The show will air on Mzansi Magic (DSTV channel 161) from July this year. Lexus will be the official transport provider for the contestants during their weekly challenges.
To top this off, Lexus is making one deserving contestant’s dream come true by giving away a Lexus. The Project Runway SA winner will drive home in the refreshed and latest model of the Lexus CT 200h five-door hatch which retails for R525 000. The CT 200h combines a sophisticated urban look with unique Lexus craftsmanship and the most advanced technologies.
The winner will get to experience an exclusive kind of luxury with exquisitely finished leather, advanced safety features and flawless paintwork in a bi-tone colour scheme with colours- Titanium Black and a Grey top.
The CT 200h offers exceptional driving comfort and efficient hybrid performance. In near-silent Electric Vehicle mode (when in use) it uses no petrol, produces zero emissions and, because it’s a Lexus Hybrid, never needs plugging in to recharge.
The Lexus CT 200h hatch features a reverse camera, cruise control, new signature Lexus spindle grill, hot 10-spoke, 16-inch rims that feature a combination machined and dark metallic finish a well as black out roof in grey.
It also includes Lexus display audio with 10-speaker sound to ensure the winner listens to his/her favourite jams, a rotary-style Lexus Remote Touch controller and rain-sensing wipers.
Lexus looks to build on the model’s strengths and its well-earned reputation for efficiency and reliability, introducing a refreshed exterior that captures its driver-appeal – the winner will no doubt enjoy the drive and vehicle’s offering.
In summary: The design is more emotional, dynamic, sophisticated and sporty, making it the ideal premium hybrid compact car for a millennial to enjoy spirited driving, but at the same time, show that they care about the environment.
