The popular classic Seussical Jr returns to Peoples Theatre due to popular demand

 

 

Peoples Theatre is excited to once again share the much-loved show, Seussical JR, with their audiences, as it makes a delightful return to their stage from 11 March to 21 April 2025.

 

Dr Seuss has been a favourite children’s author for over 60 years and is loved for his use of language, rhyme and humour. Seussical is the fabulous Broadway show based on the well-loved books of Dr. Seuss. 

 

The illustrations that accompany the wonderful words of Dr. Seuss have been used to inspire the great set and costumes that bring this magical musical to life! 

 

This musical is definitely an unforgettable experience, audiences will leave entertained as they travel with amazing imagination through the whimsical world of Seussical! 

 

This fantastical, enchanting musical is fun for all ages and follows the adventures of Horton the Elephantand introduces all your other favourite Dr. Seuss characters including The Cat in The Hat who springs to glorious life on stage, and nobody has forgotten Green Eggs and Ham



 “The books of Dr Seuss have been the steppingstones to reading for many children and introduced them to a wonderful range of characters and positive concepts. Now we bring them to life in front of their eyes and create theatre magic for them”, says director Jill Girard .

Performances are from Tuesday 11 March – Monday 21 April 2025 

Show times for schools are Tuesday to Friday at 09h00 am and 11h00 am

Show times for Public are 10h30 and 14h30 - Weekends and school holidays

 


Ticket Prices:

R175 per person for members of the public

R140 if you are a member of the Peoples Theatre Kids Club

R150 for public accompanying members
