Entries for the 18th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest are now open

From 2 December 2024 to 16 February 2025, Toyota South Africa Motors will hold the “Toyota Dream Car Art Contest,” which invites children under the age of 15 from all corners of the globe to share ideas about the future of mobility by drawing their dream cars. Toyota holds this contest with the hope that children, who lead the future, will unleash their creativity and enjoy having a dream.

The competition comprises the National Contest and the World Contest. The National Contest will be held in each participating country between August 2024 and March 2025. Winners of this contest will be entered as representatives of their country of origin into the World Contest, to be held in Japan, in August 2025.

Since its inception in 2004, the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest has provided young individuals with a platform to express their thoughts regarding the future of mobility, and remains one of the biggest international art competitions, with the objective of inspiring young people to follow their dreams.

“The Toyota Dream Car Art Contest encourages children to express their ideas about the future of transportation and mobility, highlighting the importance of creativity in problem-solving and innovation. By engaging with these young minds, we hope to inspire the next generation of innovators who will shape the future of mobility,”

says Tasneem Lorgat, General Manager of Marketing Communications at TSAM.

The Toyota Dream Car Art Contest is classified into the following three categories: 7 years and under, 8 to 11 years, and 12 to 15 years. The competition is designed to encourage young artists, particularly those who enjoy drawing and have an interest in cars, to express their creativity through drawing. Participants are invited to draw their dream car, allowing for personal expression and imagination.
