Yo, Ho, Ho Young Buccaneers! Be this a Pirate Ship or a Giant Shark? Actually it’s both!
Following on from our first adventure with the Imaginext Mega Bite Shark, this time we explore the Imaginext Shark Bite Pirate Ship.
Our first impression when we unboxed the Imaginext Shark Bite Pirate Ship was, WOW! We are still getting over how life-like the Imaginext Mega Bite Shark is, but this Imaginext Shark Bite Pirate Ship has outdone everything we knew and thought, about Imaginext toys. The role-playing toy is considerably bigger than what we were expecting, and the detail of the combined giant shark and pirate ship is so precise.
The set includes a peg legged legendary pirate, a shark pirate, swords for the two of them, balls for the main canon, and little rocket type artillery for the side canons. There is also a pirate flag to mount at a few strategic places on the ship, a treasure to be hidden inside the ship, and a brig that opens and closes for you to keep one of the pirates captive.
My 6 year old son is having so much fun launching the canons, opening the mouth of the shark, dropping the anchor, hiding the treasure, and having sword fights with the two pirates.
The Shark Bite Pirate Ship is designed in such a way that the pirates control everything from the shark's mouth opening to the launching of the canons, and revealing the hidden treasure. There are three Power Pads that act as levers when the pirates feet are placed in them which allows all the actions to take place.

Imaginext toys which is made by Mattel and falls under the Fisher Price division, allows children to use their imagination by creating their own adventurous stories which are brought to life with the realistically looking role-playing toys, like the Shark Bite Pirate Ship.
The Shark Bite Pirate Ship is not suitable for use in water, but it has wheels so you can roll it along any surface, while the fins on side move up and down just like a real shark. We wanted to create a sea like environment, so we used a blue blanket to achieve this.
Imaginext's Shark Bite Pirate Ship is recommended for children from 3-8 years old and is great for this age group as they are encouraged to use their imagination to create their own pirate adventure, learn about sharks, pirates and pirate ships, and most of all have tons of fun.
To be honest, I'm enjoying getting in on the action too.
