Bumper Football season ahead for fans, ESPN renews rights for several leagues
Top African players take to the field in European Leagues with live broadcasts across the continent
Football fans across Africa have a lot to look forward to in the coming months.

ESPN Africa is pleased to announce that it has renewed its broadcast rights for the English Football League, Eredivisie and the Scottish Premiership for an additional year, while adding the Belgian Jupiler Pro League, bringing the most exhilarating football action from across Europe to audiences across the continent.
This year’s Scottish Premiership is set to be one for the books as Glasgow Rangers and Celtic return to action, fuelled by their Old Firm rivalry, combined with both clubs’ popularity and exceptional football prowess. Eredivisie fans can expect excellent seasons from Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord, all of whom are in top form, and eager for league glory.

The Eredivisie EFL, Scottish Premiership and Belgian Jupiler Pro League all feature top African footballers such as Jean Michael Seri (Hull City), Calvin Bassey and Mohammed Kudus (Ajax Amsterdam), Fashion Sakala (Rangers), Ibrahim Sangare (PSV Eindhoven), Tarik Tissoudali (KAA Gent), Cyriel Dessers and Paul Onuachu (Racing Genk). Watford boast a whole host of African stars including Ismaila Sarr, Maduka Okoye, Imran Louza, Hassane Kamara, William Troost-Ekong and Samuel Kalu who will all be featuring for the Vicarage Road club this season.

These leagues will provide a feast for African football viewers, with live broadcasts every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and additional broadcasts on weekdays. In addition to the kicks, goals, saves, thrills and excitement from the matches, fans are encouraged to follow ESPN Africa on social media, for behind-the-scenes updates and more, when these premium European football leagues get underway.
