2024 Orms X Canon Wonders Through Focus Competition Winners
The moment you’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived. The Orms X Canon: Wonders Through Focus Photographic Competition has been a tremendous success. Now in its fifth year, this annual showcase has become a beacon for photographers, offering a platform to showcase their work to the world and win incredible prizes to help elevate their practice and accelerate their creative careers.
This year, participants competed for prizes valued at R100,000 from Canon, Orms, Orms Print Room & Framing, and Orms Cape Town School of Photography. They also had the opportunity to exhibit their work on the iconic Sea Point Promenade, which attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world.
The theme, Wonders Through Focus, encouraged photographers to look a little closer, delving a little deeper into the microcosms around them, uncovering the beauty that’s not always so obvious to the human eye. The competition received thousands of stunning entries, speaking to the vibrancy and incredible talent of our photographic community.
Each submission was subjected to a discerning review by a panel of esteemed judges, including Canon’s Product Marketing Manager Roger Machin, Orms’ Managing Director Jason Ormrod, and SJ Artists Founder Shani Judes. These photographic experts ensured that the competition selection process was rigorous and considered.
