My son loves shopping, especially pushing the trolley and putting stuff in it, and Checkers have made the experience much better.

Every time you shop at Checkers and spend R150 or more, they will give you a mini replica grocery item of South Africa's best brands.
The campaign is called Checkers Little Shop and there are 29 mini groceries to collect.

It's a great initiative to reward children with after an "exhausting" time shopping. Other retail stores have given away various toys in the past to encourage customers to spend a certain amount but this is definitely unique.

I would even go so far to say that it's educational as well, as children can learn about the different products without playing with the actual product and harming themselves. Checkers aim is to also create young entrepreneurs as they are encouraging kids to collect them, swap them and build a little shop of their own.
Today was the first day of the campaign and we were fortunate enough to receive one of these mini groceries. We were surprised at what we received, All Gold Tomato Sauce.
My son loves any type of sauce, especially tomato sauce on his chips or fish fingers. He loves it so much, he even took a random pic in a restaurant when he was only 18 months old, of the All Gold Tomato Sauce bottle.
I'm very impressed with the Checkers campaign and would encourage parents to try and collect these toys while they can, as stocks are limited.
