Experience true African warmth at moyo this winter
Board games at home? Cocoa in front of the fire? Onesies while watching TV? We all have winter traditions, but not many are as delectable or as highly anticipated as the moyo Winter Menu.
This May, moyo launches its annual tradition – a celebration of Africa’s finest urban cuisines, tailored to a variety of tastes. The exciting Winter Menu features mouthwatering items that cannot be found on the current à la carte menu and have all been custom-created to deliver a unique African experience. The most popular Winter Menu items will be added to the next moyo menu.
moyo, which provides a sophisticated dining experience with modern African ambiance, has ensured that there’s something for everyone on the new Winter Menu.
The Winter Menu, which costs R185 per guest for a two-course meal and R225 per guest for a three- course meal, is tailored to a wide range of palates. Adventurous or safe, meat-lover or vegetarian, comfort-eater or fine-dining foodie, the new Winter Menu will deliver a delectable experience for every kind of diner.
The selection of starters are made up of the vegetarian Chef Ru’s red pepper soup; Bleddie warm chicken samoosas; fresh Mussels in curried coconut broth and North African-inspired Chermoula meat balls.
For mains, guests can choose between Curried butternut lasagne (v), Line fish jollof, Morrocan chicken, Nyama na kumba – beef sirloin skewered with prawns – and Sticky glazed short ribs.
Those with a sweet tooth will be spoiled by a choice between Mama’s sago crumble, which brings together two firm favourites, and the aptly named Decadent chocolate brownies.
With moyo’s roaring fires, cosy blankets, top entertainment and its trademark warm hospitality, there is no better dining experience this winter. Make sure to visit any moyo store to enjoy the Winter Menu offering, which is available at these select times:
Cape Town:
Blouberg: Monday - Sunday from 6pm
Kirstenbosch: Monday - Saturday from 12pm until 5pm
Johannesburg:
Melrose Arch: Monday - Friday, all day
Zoo Lake: Monday - Friday, all day. Saturday - Sunday from 6pm
Durban:
uShaka Marine World (Main restaurant only): Monday - Sunday, all day
All Winter Menu meals include a 250ml carafe of Brampton Wine, which cannot be substituted for any other beverage. The menu is also valid for groups of 20 guests or less. These offers are available from 15 May – 31 August 2017.
